Fresh from landing the number one spot on the iTUNES Country chart, Becky will be playing a good mix of tracks both her own and no doubt some covers.
Becky has been performing for the majority of her life: from having the lead role of Kim in the European Premiere of ‘Miss Saigon’ to singing the Manx National Anthem for the opening of the Island Commonwealth Games on the Isle of Man. Music and singing have always been her true passion. Her upbringing was surrounded by an eclectic mix of music.
Becky left the Isle of Man and headed for the bright lights of London and gained a place at the prestigious London School of Musical Theatre where she gained a Diploma in Musical Theatre, however, this ultimately wasn’t the path that was destined for her.
She had always been drawn to words, poetry and lyrics and eventually started to experiment with writing lyrics herself. She started to listen even more to country music, focusing on the words of Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris & Reba McEntire.
She discovered that this genre just seemed to encompass more passion than any other music she has listened too and it was then her own lyrics seemed to just fit with this genre.
Since moving to the south-west of England, Becky started working with a platinum-selling producer in Bristol and a fantastic sound engineer at Phoenix Studios, resulting in her first EP ‘ A Child’s Tears’. As well as gigging with her own music, co-writing with Indie Folk singer/songwriter Amie K, Becky could also be found singing backing vocals for Clyve & The Soul City Foundation in Bath and The Bourbons.
After the release of her second EP ‘What It Takes’ co-written with Danny McMahon, she found herself in a whirlwind of writing and gigs.
Fast forward to today and she now has a No.1 single under her belt with “You Say”
