Local singer/songwriter Chris Flood has released his first new music in 10 years and there’s a Brooke Wassell produced video to accompany it.
“Dead Skin” is the lead song from his forthcoming five track EP “The New Dawn” which has a release date of Friday, 15th March.
With whispers of Jeff Buckley’s posthumous “Songs For My Sweetheart The Drunk” album in the guitar sound / songwriting structure and vocal echo’s of Chris Cornell/Queens Of The Stoneage, “Dead Skin” pulses along to a dirty, electronic, almost sleazy and eerie minimalist groove. It’s great!
We personally love this track and are looking forward to the EP. As a whole concept…very unique and unlike anyone out there on the Manx Scene at the moment. A welcome return to Mr Flood!
