Ellur (Ella Mcnamara) started writing songs at the young age of 11 and has always known she wants to pursue a career in the music industry.

Dedicating her entire life to performance and music and, being the daughter of Richard McNamara (Embrace/EEVAH), has grown up immersed in the music industry.

Ellur takes her inspiration from the creative industry and has cites the musical influences of pop bands/artists such as The 1975, The Japanese House and Little Dragon as a huge factor of her music (we also see in her image and hear in her music a big element of 80’s Madonna).

With support from West Yorkshires BBC introducing on her debut single, Reflection, she began playing more live gigs around Leeds. At her gigs you can watch her perform a mix of intimate piano ballad and breathtaking pairing of layered harmonic vocals with a drum machine all tied together with raw, distorted guitar riffs. These gigs have inspired her to record her next single and she is looking to release more music in the coming months.
