Isle Of Man indie-pop trio Sunset Jet recently returned with their new single, the snappy, summery and punky Happiness Is A Work Of Art.The aptly-named new track is a bouncy breath of fresh musical air as the world tentatively exits lockdown, and welds choppy new-wave guitars to a driving rhythm and vibrant pop hooks.
“Happiness Is A Work Of Art is about making sure not to be overly rational about doing what you think will make you happy, because if you try to force happiness it tends to elude you,” explains frontman
Brad Meechan. The track arrives with a buoyant and colourful video featuring fans and friends of the band. “We basically threw a big party in the garage of our shared house, filmed them all having a ball and then interjected shots of us looking moody,” says the singer and guitarist.

Originally formed on the Isle of Man in 2018, Sunset Jet have played over 150 gigs throughout the UK.Combining indie-rock and Britpop influences with the classic surf-pop of The Beach Boys, Sunset Jet have released six singles so far; Nice Guy, WDYB, Wine Drunk, Messiah, Live The Masquerade and Scarlett. Happiness Is A Work Of Art is the band’s first offering of 2020 and the first from the new line-up. More new singles are scheduled for release throughout the year.
