Adapting his name in homage to his Great Grandfather, who was an accomplished classical jazz pianist from London back in the 30’s, Georgie Weston composes music in the same way traditional songwriters like Burt Bacharach and George Gershwin would; by developing grand arrangements with adventurous melodic and harmonic choices, accompanied alongside poetry reflecting the times we’re living in.

When writing songs on the family piano which was bought new in the 1960’s, (an upright model); the rounded keys formed by the past 3 generations add to the emotion, feel and meaning of each composition he shapes.

Originally from a small town in West Yorkshire called Brighouse, he moved to Liverpool,UK at the age of 18 to perfect his songwriting craft at Paul McCartney‘s Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts

Alongside the likes of Eli Smart, Thomas Guerlet and Alex Luca Although many of his musical heroes are from previous era’s (David Bowie, Carole King, Billy Joel) Georgie uses up-to-date lyricism, referencing social media and current trends/issues in the modern world as well as a contemporary style of production, to form his own idiosyncratic niche.
