We’re SO excited to announce our FIRST artist of phase 2 of our Facebook artist take-over live streams supported by Quids Inn! We are proud to present, Lucas Watt! You can tune in to watch Lucas HERE at our new broadcast time of 8-9PM!
Lucas Watt is an indie-pop singer and songwriter, born and raised in the little town of Skipton on the outskirts of Leeds, West Yorkshire. His song lyrics tackle the issues of the modern day with his songs being described as “stirring indie ballads” with “real soulful vocal deliveries”.
Having already toured with JP Cooper, JC Stewart and supported the likes of Larkins, Shed Seven and Giant Rooks as well as receiving extensive airplay on BBC Introducing, Lucas has big plans for the future and is set to release a string of new singles very soon.
“Oh my god, this is amazing! I really dig it. lots of soul, lots of sentiment, what’s not to like?” – Jericho keys (BBC Introducing)
After being overwhelmed by the response to his first release of 2020, ” I Don’t Feel Fine”, Watt quickly responded announcing ‘Kind of Funny’ which talks about the fickle ways of our generation who are quick to judge the small issues of the everyman while being blinded by C-list celebrities with plastic personalities. It also discusses the issues of fake news and how quick we are to point the finger with an unfulfillable craving for controversy – ‘Kind of Funny’ came out on the 19th June.
“Melodic guitars break way to catchy lyrics and an exhilarating deliverance.” – Scientists of Sounds
Lucas Watt takes a wide range of influences from artists such as Sam Fender, Sundara Karma, The 1975, Tom Grennan and The Night Café. However, Lucas’s love for music started early with a love of singing heavy rock songs in the car with his dad. This drove him to become a drummer before eventually picking up the guitar and starting to write songs of his own.
“Soaring choruses and powerful vocals.” – From Sophia with Love Blog
