Hailing from Leeds and labelled as the “ones to watch” in 2019 by BBC Introducing, the band have recently celebrated hitting No.28 in the UK commercial pop charts.  

VICTORS consists of Harry Waterhouse (Vocals/Keys/Guitar), Simon Appleson (Guitar/Synth), Dominic Brooks (Bass/Synth) and Leon Davies  (Drums). Each member grew up listening to a variety of different artists ranging from Whitney Houston, Phil Collins & Crowded House to Wu-Tang Clan, Metallica & Black Sabbath.

“We also got played on NFL in America which is what gave us our first little break and started our fan base there.”

With the band taking influence from the likes of Two Door Cinema Club to Prince, VICTORS’ 80’s inspired, vibrant synth pop vibe continues to evolve and mature with every release.

 

Since forming in 2016, Victors have already achieved over 1.4 million Spotify streams on their debut single, ‘Tonight’ and 3 million streams on overall combined platforms. Their music has since gained support from large brands such as BBC Introducing, Radio 1, Hollyoaks, This Morning, Spotify playlists, Nordstrom, Costa Coffee , Pizza Express and Topshop worldwide. They have also had in-house playlist endorsements from a number of other high street stores. 

“A personal favourite gig has got to be playing Penn Festival on the main stage last summer. It was by far the biggest stage we’ve ever played on in our careers to date and we got to share it with some big bands such as Kaiser Chiefs and Manic Street Preachers.”

 

“Over the past 2 to 3 years we have have played some great shows and we are really proud of what we have achieved so far as a band. A personal favourite gig has got to be playing Penn Festival on the main stage last summer. It was by far the biggest stage we’ve ever played on in our careers to date and we got to share it with some big bands such as Kaiser Chiefs and Manic Street Preachers. We also love playing in Leeds, some of our best shows have been in our home town with our support slot with King No-One.”

The band have also supported Will Young, The Pierce Brothers,Youth Club and Rozalla

“Other career highlights of ours so far has been off stage as well. We’ve been played on Radio 1 which was a massive milestone and dream of ours. Another key show was playing with SHURA at Manchester Pride and most recently Leeds Lights switch on where we played to a 20,000 capacity  crowd.”

Whilst being loved in London and their hometown of Leeds, VICTORS have gained support from the States, particularly in Los Angeles, New York and Chicago, by featuring on NFL, playing around the NFL stadium and being played out on rotations on New York and Canadian radio stations.

Spotify playlists have also played a huge part in developing their fanbase in Taiwan and Mexico

With a slot at a VIP after show party for The Jacksons, playing shows to crowds of over 10 thousand people, playing at the Leeds Christmas lights switch on, over 3,000,000 streams on Spotify and iTunes since their debut release in April 2016 and strong support from the BBC and the NFL, the band are on course for further success!
