This Sunday night at 8PM UK time, Gigmann LIVE supported by Quids Inn are happy to present, Ryan Inglis! You can tune in to the stream on Gigmann’s Facebook page HERE.
British full-time musician Ryan Inglis was born in 1981 and spent most of his early adult years in the small seaside town of Weston-super-Mare near Bristol, England.
Ryan taught himself to play the guitar from the age of 16 and started teaching privately in his local area at 18. Later at 22 he became a regular live performer on stages in his home town of Weston-super-Mare.
By 2006 he had made music his full-time occupation.
He has published three studio albums, two as a solo-artist called ‘7 Blank Tiles’ (2009) and ‘The Time Is Now’ (2013) and one with his Rap-Rock-Band ‘Visions To Kill’ called ‘BEAST’ (2017), which are all available on music platforms such as iTunes, Spotify and Amazon Music.
Today, he is a successful singer-songwriter and professional guitar player who lives in Munich and is well known in the local music scenes in Munich since his first visit in 2015 as well as internationally. With connections all around the globe he has travelled the world with only his music and guitar on his back.
Currently he is working on recording his third LP.
“I decided to take my time in arranging my new songs for my third album. I want to make it the best I can and I want to play them live as much as possible before recording their final versions”.
What makes his way of playing the guitar different from other artists is the guitar percussion he uses to add an extra vibe to his songs while performing solo.
With songs like ‘Blessed With Less’ (Released 2018) and ‘Fear’ (2013) you can hear two very different styles of Indie-Pop-Music. Ranging from catchy and up-beat to deep and melancholic, but always with thoughtful messages from personal events and experiences.
His repertoire of cover-songs are inexhaustible and with his original style he makes them his own.
“What I enjoy most about being an independent musician, which means unsigned without a recording label, is that I get to choose to do and go wherever I want, whenever I want. I appreciate that freedom. I enjoy playing in smaller (more intimate) functions (such as sofa concerts, weddings, acoustic nights) as much as at big events (Hazy Days Festival, Tollwood Festival). Both have a very specific kind of feel and I just love to make audiences listen, dance, sing, enjoy their time. Music brings people together. I also host ‘open mic nights’ which is a lot of fun and a great way to connect with musicians in the area.”
